New Page: Surgery Photos No. 2

I like to call these my holiday photos, because this arthroscopic hip surgery –my second in five months – was smack in the middle of the 2011 holiday season.

Like the first set of photos, you won’t see them on the main page of this blog, out of respect for the squeamish. But if you’re interested in what arthroscopic surgery looks like from the inside, then you might want to check out this new page with 19 photos.

Welcome

Most athletes have experienced a “second wind,” that jolt of energy and strength that allows us, enervated and dispirited, to carry on. But sometimes our bodies cannot recover on their own – we need outside help so we can catch our “third wind.”
